A thin plastic cone sheds heat the moment the kettle leaves it, and its flat walls let the paper cling so the pour finds the path of least resistance — a channel down one side, half the grounds barely touched. The result is the same every morning: a cup that tastes thin where it should taste round.
This dripper answers both with its shape, not a gadget. The cone is fired stoneware, so it holds the brewing heat. Spiral ribs on the inside hold the filter off the wall, so water has to pass through the whole bed of grounds. One drip hole at the tip sets the pace. Nothing to charge, nothing to replace.

Drop a size 02 paper filter into the cone, rinse it, add your grounds. Pour a little to let them bloom, then pour the rest in slow circles. The ribs keep the paper open and the single hole keeps the pace honest, so the water leaves through the bed and not around it.
Lift it off the cup, tip the filter into the bin, rinse the cone under the tap. There is no basket to scrub and no part to lose — which is the point of brewing one good cup at a time.
