Pourhouse · pour-over · fired stoneware

One cup, evenly drawn — in stoneware that keeps the heat.

A single-cup pour-over dripper thrown in matte-glazed stoneware. Spiral ribs hold the filter off the wall so water runs evenly through the bed; a single drip hole meters the pour. Heavier than plastic, and warmer for it.

Matte Glazed Stoneware Pour Over Coffee — matte-glazed stoneware pour-over dripperThe dripper photographed from another angle

The brew

Pour slow, watch the bed rise, let the heat stay in the cone.

Stoneware comes to the table warm and stays there. Where a thin plastic cone sheds heat while you pour, fired stoneware holds it — so the water meets the grounds at temperature from the first bloom to the last drip.

The spiral ribs inside the cone keep the size 02 filter off the wall, opening a channel for the flow. Water draws down through the whole bed instead of racing the edges, and the single drip hole at the tip sets the pace. One cup, evenly extracted, every time.

The object

Matte Glazed Stoneware Pour Over Coffee, matte-glazed stoneware

As it arrives: one dripper, ready for any mug or carafe — and a size 02 paper filter.

A cone of fired stoneware and one quiet decision.

A single-cup pour-over coffee dripper thrown in matte-glazed stoneware. The cone holds a standard size 02 paper filter and sits on most mugs and carafes via a stable circular base. Internal spiral ribs lift the filter off the wall so water flows evenly down the bed, and a single drip hole at the cone tip meters the pour. Fired stoneware holds brewing heat better than plastic and is heavier and steadier on the cup. Hand wash recommended.
